Camping De Boomgaard

Camping and enjoying nature along the meandering River Meuse.

In the idyllic village of Aldeneik (Maaseik) you will find Camping de Boomgaard. You are welcome here with your tent, caravan or motorhome. The campsite is located along the cycling network, close to junction 25, and in the beautiful, award-winning River Park Maasvallei. With the small ferry you can reach the Netherlands in no time to continue your walk or bike ride there. The Hoge Kempen National Park is also just a few kilometres away.

Camping takes place on the banks of the meandering River Meuse. You stay in the midst of natural beauty and fully unwind while looking out over the water, the large grazing animals on the opposite bank, countless water birds, or the pleasure boats passing by on the river. At dusk, you can often spot beavers swimming in the Mynecomp Pond just behind the campsite. The campsite is situated between the marinas of Heerenlaak and De Spanjaard and is only a 10-minute bike ride from the historic market square of Maaseik. Restaurants and terraces are just 50 metres away. For a day of shopping, Maasmechelen Village and Designer Outlet Roermond are close by.

Camping de Boomgaard is open all year round thanks to its paved pitches along the river. Stay among the cherry trees with views of the Meuse. On this small but charming campsite, you can truly relax. It is the ideal base for walking and cycling trips in the beautiful River Park Maasvallei. If you are a water sports enthusiast, we offer water-ski lessons or boat trips on the river. Nearby you can also go sailing, stand-up paddling, canoeing, windsurfing or fishing. There is an abundance of restaurants and cafés, and to complete your stay you can enjoy a wine tasting at the award-winning Aldeneyck Wine Estate. Our guests are mainly active bon vivants who enjoy walking and cycling. The campsite does not have a playground. Dogs are welcome.
